When we were walking along the beach this morning I noticed a guy waiting for us to pass and he was holding a radio controlled model plane, waiting to release it for its flight. These are known as RC airplanes and they are surprisingly popular with middle aged men, who often become quite obsessed with the hobby. I was surprised to find that the planes actually start from quite a low price, but these guys like to show their friends they can afford a top plane, which is great fro the merchants.
